Nature Center Counselor

The Camp War Eagle nature center program is an integral part of camp program. It is especially for those who are willing to have fun while teaching campers about the outdoors. We want to help campers develop a love for nature and respect for the environment. They should have a servant’s heart, an upbeat attitude, and find joy in teaching others.

The Nature Center Counselor is different from our regular Counselor position. A typical day is:

  1. 9:00 AM to lunch: In the nature center preparing and teaching classes, taking care of animals, facilitating activities
  2. 2:00 PM to dinner: Mish Mash (camper free time) facilitating activities in the nature center.
  3. When not fulfilling Nature Center duties, Nature Center counselors assume the responsibilities of a full-time counselor with their assigned campers, as well as participate and lead nightly activities with them

We do our best to accommodate any practicum/internship requirements. Contact Andi Morris for any information about our Nature Program at 479-751-8899 (ext. 4235 or andi@campwareagle.org.
