Nanny Counselor

The Camp War Eagle nanny program is an integral part of the camp war eagle program. It is for those who are willing to love and care for the children of permanent camp staff during the summer and are willing to be counselors to campers as well in the remaining hours of their day. They are responsible for caring for campers during the evening program, and thrive in this position best when they have a servant’s heart with a positive and willing attitude.

Nanny duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Care for, work with, and play with the Permanent Staff members’ children ranging in age from infants to 12 years old. Nannies are assigned to a camp family each session. These children spend the entire summer at camp and some are too young to be full-time campers.
  2. Integrating the kids into part of the regular camp program (i.e. swimming lessons, crafts, Bible study, etc.).
  3. Nannies assist in their assigned camper cabin with devotionals, special events, and other nightly cabin duties when not on duty nannying.
