Core Team duties include but are not limited to:
- Spending time with campers in assigned cabin during time ‘off’ from specialized store or office duties
- Assisting with a nightly cabin devotional provided by Camp War Eagle based on principles of Christian faith
Store specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Daily restocking of the store (food and drink items), restocking clothing and gift items as they arrive (tagging, folding), passing out uniforms to campers and cabin inspection
- General upkeep of the store and coordinating Star Cabin winners
- Working the registers during Mish Mash, closing and opening day, and during staff time off a few nights per week
- Road watching during transitional periods to ensure children are wearing closed-toed shoes to Team Competition
- Other duties may include periodic store inventory/working at a store station during Mish Mash
Office specific duties may include, but are not limited to the following areas:
- Office Assistant—Involves preparing and organizing packets for staff and campers, making morning program announcements, and basic administrative work (such as answering the telephone, filing, data entry, etc). Office Assistants generally work ten-hour days, and may have a split shift depending on the daily schedule
- Post Office Assistant—Involves distributing mail and keeping a log of UPS and Fed Ex packages for campers and staff, as well as managing the lost and found. Post Office Assistants generally work ten-hour shifts in the Post Office
- Town Runner—Involves shopping for program and administrative supplies and transporting campers and staff members. Town Runners drive Camp War Eagle vehicles between camp and other towns, such as Rogers or Fayetteville, AR. Town Runners do not work specific set hours
- International Staff Driver – Involves transporting our international Staff to and from town for shopping, outings, and to/from their host home for International Staff days off. International Staff Drivers drive Camp War Eagle vehicles between camp and other towns, such as Bentonville, Springdale, or Fayetteville. They will be hospitable and check in with host home families when dropping off or picking up international staff
- The Camp War Eagle office is open from 7:45 am—10:15 pm every camp day. The day is usually divided into 3 shifts, with Office Staff working two of the three shifts
- Camper Clothing Closet (Triple C) Assistant: Managing inventory and filling orders for cabins that have campers missing the essential clothing, toiletries, and other items to thrive at camp
