Crafts Counselor

The Camp War Eagle crafts program is an integral part of camp, designed for those who love working with campers, bring a cheerful and positive attitude, and have a servant’s heart. Crafts staff have the unique opportunity to share their artistic and creative talents, develop valuable life skills, learn new techniques, and grow in their ability to connect with others.

Crafts Counselor duties include but are not limited to the following:

1. Teach and supervise craft classes during the Morning Program and Mish Mash (camper free time). Assist with cleaning, preparing, stocking, and re-stocking the Crafts Center for daily use.
2. Assist with special duties as needed, which may include working game stations at Special Events and decorating for the end-of-summer Staff Banquet.
3. Lead a variety of classes offered in the Crafts Center, such as jewelry making, clay sculpting, painting, candle making, tie-dye, sewing, pottery, ceramics, cooking, and more!
4. Schedule: 8:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., typically with breaks during lunch and rest period.
5. Counselor responsibilities: After Crafts Center duties, staff transition to their assigned cabins and serve as counselors.
