TRAINING

This is for all Top Staff and will be held April 4th – April 6th, 2025

Orientation is made up of two main parts: skills training and general orientation. Skills training certifies people in one of the major areas of camp, and general orientation acclimates staff to all the ins and outs of their role as a summer staff member.

Please check our Staff Session Dates for a listing of all dates and arrival times.

Skills Training Areas Include:

Ropes Training:
You will be certified on our ropes course and climbing wall at Camp War Eagle. The class includes belaying, initiative games, and high ropes course instruction. It is a challenge but a great one.

Lifeguarding:
You will get a Red Cross Lifeguard Certification for this class at no charge to you. (This class normally would cost you around $250—so that is a pretty good deal!!!) This certification is good for 2 years and you can use this at any pool that accepts a Red Cross LG Certification. The skills required for this class are:

Horses:
You will arrive several days earlier than all other areas of training to ensure certification in all safety protocols. We will certify you to work in our horse program.
