The Camp War Eagle Fishing program is an integral part of camp program. We teach campers a variety of fishing skills ranging from (introductory to more advanced fishing skills) while also teaching outdoor education principals. Fishing counselors should have a servant’s heart, an upbeat attitude, and find passion in teaching fishing.  

Fishing Counselor duties include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Directly responsible for the fishing program at Camp War Eagle, as well as other supervisory responsibilities for campers throughout the day.
2. Being the lead instructor for the fishing program at Camp War Eagle.
3. Training other staff in the disciplines of the specialized activity.
4. Supervising other peer staff in the specialized area.
5. Refereeing or Coaching Team Competition as needed.
6. Supervising the fishing program area of camp during Mish Mash (campers’ free time)
