The Camp War Eagle Nanny program is an integral part of camp and is for those who are willing to love and care for the Permanent Staff kids’ during the summer. They are counselors to campers as well in their “off” duty hours and are responsible for caring for campers during the evening program. They should have a servant’s heart with a positive and willing attitude.
Nanny duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Nannies care for, work with, and play with the Permanent Staff members’ children ranging in age from infants to 10 years old. Nannies are assigned to a camp family each session. These children spend the entire summer at camp and most are too young to be full-time campers.
- Integrating the kids into part of the regular camp program (i.e. swimming lessons, crafts, bible study, etc.).
- Typical Nanny daily schedule: 8:00 a.m.—whenever the Permanent Staff member is “off-duty” for the day.
- Other– Nannies are then to assist in their assigned camper cabin with devotionals, special events, and other nightly cabin duties.
